Grown and harvested by small holder tea growers around the Satemwa Estate, the bright red calyx of the Hibiscus flower is hand picked and dried naturally in the sun. Our loose leaf Hibiscus tea produces a refreshingly tart, bright, ruby-red infusion. Caffeine-free and bursting with blackcurrant, this herbal tea is also full of vitamin C. We love the zing, but stir in a dash of honey for added sweetness.

This is my second purchase of the Hibiscus tea and I can honestly say it’s one of my favourites. It has a very fresh slightly tart taste depending how long you brew it for. I sometimes add a spoonful of honey and it completely transforms this drink into a very soothing tincture. I personally drink this tea most days as it’s packed with Vitamin C. It’s my go to during the winter months to ward off colds a flu but equally refreshing in the summer cooled and poured over ice with a sprig of basil in. I have bought the large bag and it stays beautifully fresh in its own packaging but I also decant some into a glass jar as it looks so pretty on my side and equally stays as fresh.
Amazing colour...deep crimson red. Tastes like blackberries imho! Purchased primarily to go as an addition to a beer I’m brewing (à la Gypsy Hill) but have kept back a healthy amount for tea ...great product, freshly preserved in a sealed packaging.
I rarely go a day without having a cup or even a whole pot of this wondrous tea. It wakes me up and makes me happy all at the same time. The colour alone makes me feel well inside. It has been my absolute favourite tea for a long while now, and I can not see that changing for some time. Hibiscus, I thank you.
We work hard to find, taste and select exceptional teas, first and foremost looking for quality and flavour in the cup. We focus on single-origin, whole leaf teas where the character is a direct reflection of the area in which it is grown, as well as the craft involved in growing, plucking and processing the leaves.
There are an infinite number of teas being produced every year, so our role is to find and bring you some of the best. Our care in curating the range, as well as the quality of the product itself, has earned us both our customers’ trust and multiple Great Taste awards.
Sourcing
Not only does the tea need to taste good, it is also important to us that we know exactly where each tea comes from and who is responsible for harvesting and crafting the leaves we buy.
We work exclusively with trusted farms, co-operatives, partners and suppliers who share our values. We source from 13 growing regions around the world, always paying well above fair-trade prices.

As a team of passionate brewers, blenders, tasters, curators and, perhaps most importantly, drinkers of delicious tea, we get excited about helping you make a delicious cup of tea every time.
Packaging
We are committed to reducing any environmental impact our packaging has before and after use.
