Our Guest Tea Series is BACK

After a short hiatus, we’re pleased to announce that our Guest Tea Series, formerly known as Brewer’s Pick, is back!

What is the Guest Tea Series?

There’s never a day at Good & Proper HQ where our basket of samples isn’t full. It feels as though we’re eternally receiving little packets from producers around the world and, while some are delicious, there are a rare few that really stop us in our tracks.

These fine teas are often unique, and sometimes produced in small batches, meaning they’re unlikely to make it into our permanent collection. But we still want to share them with you! Our Guest Tea Series allows us to do just that - it is a chance for you to try the very best of the team’s favourites.

What’s so special about the return of the series?

If you were a fan of our original Brewer’s Pick series, you might notice that the new Guest Teas look a little different 👀

We’ve spent the last few months working on a beautiful new packaging format to reflect the special teas inside. We hope that these limited edition tubes will take pride of place on your shelves and that even once you’ve finished the tea, they’ll be either recycled or put to a good new use.

Just like the rest of our plastic-free packaging, the tubes are fully recyclable and the vegware packaging inside is certified home compostable.

How does it work?

Our Founder Emilie is tasting all the time, so as and when samples come in, she’ll be shortlisting some of the best. Ahead of each quarter, we’ll then arrange multiple rounds of tasting that shortlist, as a team, with each of us voting on our favourites. The teas with the most votes are selected, bringing you a brand-new Guest Tea every quarter.

These small batch teas are truly limited edition, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

First up in the new series is Amba Ceylon Chai, one that the eagle-eyed amongst you may remember. We’ve featured this black tea once before, and having seen it being produced first hand on Emilie’s trip to Sri Lanka earlier this year, we felt it was good enough to share again! These hand-rolled Ceylon tea leaves are combined with cinnamon, ginger and cloves - all produced on the organic Amba Estate. The result is a smooth, delicately-spiced chai blend that tastes just as delicious with milk as without, and is perfect for the upcoming festive season.
